Drug peddler arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Oct 4: Nowabad police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler along with heroin.
As per police sources, based on specific information, a team from Nowabad Police Station laid a naka near Bhagat Singh Chowk and intercepted a motorcycle.
During checking, police recovered 2.5 grams heroin from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Taqdeer Singh, son of Paramjeet Singh, a resident of Nanak Nagar.
A case under NDPS Act has been registered at Nowabad Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SHO Nowabad Inspector Neeraj Bhagat made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Pranav Mahajan and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
