JAMMU, Dec 6: Bhalla police arrested a drug peddler and recovered cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bhalla Police Post laid a naka near Ghadsoo and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police recovered 400 grams heroin from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Balwan Singh, son of Omdesh of Chinote Bhlara tehsil Chiralla.
A case under FIR Number 149/17 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Bhalla Police Post SI Sunil Parihar made the arrest under the supervision SHO Bhaderwah Muneer Ahmed Khan, SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma, Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
