JAMMU, Apr 16: Gangyal police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested inter state drug peddler and recovered banned injections from his possession.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Gangyal Police Station laid a naka near Uttam Nagar, Kunjwani and arrested a pedestrian coming from Chib Mohallah along with 70 banned injections.
The accused has been identified as Binnu Singh, son of Chajju Singh, a resident of Chib Mohallah, Kunjwani.
A case under FIR Number 31/17 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at Gangyal Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the names of the persons associated with the accused.
Police team led by SHO Gangyal SI Nayat Ali made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
