Srinagar, Feb 20: Police today said it arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A police spokesman said acting on information about the transportation of charas, police established a checkpoint at Tulkhan Bijbehara crossing in Anantnag district.
“During naka checking, one person identified as Mohammad Asif Dar was intercepted. On his checking, 120 grams of charas in shape of sticks was recovered from his possession,” he said, adding that police have registered a case and investigation was taken up.
