KISHTWAR, Aug 11: A driver was killed, when the Mahindra vehicle he was driving plunged into gorge near Beraar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kishtwar police station.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK17-2125 was on its way from Padder to Kishtwar, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into gorge, resulting into on the spot death of the driver.
The body of the deceased identified as Akther Hussain, son of Bashir Ahmed of Link Road Kishtwar was shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar, where after conducting autopsy, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Kishtwar and investigation started.
