JAMMU, Apr 12: The sleuths of Special Operation Group (SOG) Jammu arrested a driver and his associate along with large quantity of banned syrup bottles.
As per police sources, on reliable information, the sleuths of SOG Jammu intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK22A-2883, which was on its way to Srinagar from New Delhi.
During checking, SOG sleuths recovered 282 banned syrup bottles and arrested the driver along with his associate.
The arrested persons have been identified as Majid Hussain Ganai (driver), son of Ghulam Hussain and Zahoor Ahmed Bhat, son of Ghulam Qadir Bhat, both resident of district Shopian
They have been handed over to Jhajjar Kotli Police Station for legal action warranted under law against the accused.
The whole operation was carried out under the supervision of SP Operations Vinay Sharma.
