Dr Shah gets CSIR Young Scientist Award

JAMMU, Sept 27: Chairman, Muqaddas Degree College, Mendhar, district Poonch, Dr Bhahwal Ali Shah, son of Sayed Munir Hussain Shah has been awarded GN Ramachandran Gold Medal for Excellence in Biological Sciences and Technology 2014 and 2015.
The CSIR Young Scientist Award for the year 2015 in Chemical Sciences has been awarded to Dr Bhahwal Ali Shah of CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu, for his significant contributions to the isolation of natural products and development of new synthetic methodologies for bio-active molecules.
The award was given by Dr Harshvardhan, Union Minister for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences and Vice President, CSIR, YS Chowdhary, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, and Earth Sciences, Dr Girish Sahni, DG, CSIR and AS Kiran Kumar, Secretary, Department of Space and Chairman, ISRO at New Delhi recently.
