Dr Sameeru appointed Principal of JCET

JAMMU, May 27: Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, K B Agarwal today issued order appointing Dr Sameeru Sharma, Head of Department of Electronics and Communi-cation Engineering and senior most faculty member as Principal of the Jammu College of Engineering and Technology.
“Dr Sameeru Sharma will discharge the responsibilities associated with the post of Principal of the institution till further orders”, the order said.
A Graduate from Pondicherry Engineering College and Post Graduate from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Dr Sameeru Sharma, carried out her further research both at GND University, Amritsar and IIT Kharagpur and was awarded the PhD degree in the field of Wireless Communication Engineering in the year 2009.
She has many publications in National/International Journals and conference proceedings to her credit. She is empanelled expert and the member of Standing Appellate Council of AICTE. She is also a member of International Association of Engineers, Hong Kong and Institution of Engineers (India). She is the recipient of Award by The Institution of Engineers for National and International acclaim in Wireless Communication Engineering.
