Dr Jitendra nominated to BJP Delhi Civic Poll Panel

JAMMU, Mar 17: BJP national president Amit Shah today appointed Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and Independent Incharge of North Eastern States, Dr Jitendra Singh among others to the Supervisory Committee for Delhi Civic Polls, which were scheduled to be held on April 22.
A Circular issued tonight by BJP national general secretary Arun Singh on behalf of Amit Shah announced names of the top brass of BJP, who have been appointed to Supervisory Committee for Delhi Civic Polls.
Vinay Sahsurvudhe, BJP national vice president will represent the organization in the Supervisory Committee, which will have other members including Dr Jitendra Singh, MoS in PMO, Nirmala Sitaraman, Minister of State with Independent charge of Commerce and Industry, Sanjeev Baliyan, Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing and Delhi BJP Incharge (Prabhari) Sham Jajju.
Three Municipal Corpo-rations of New Delhi will go to polls on April 22 while counting will be held on April 25.
The Delhi Civic elections have become very prestigious in view of BJP’s victory in four States in the recent Assembly elections and impressive performance of the party in Maharashtra civic bodies elections.
The BJP wants to extend the winning spree to Delhi Civic Polls and it was in this context that party’s national president Amit Shah has started preparations well in advance from other parties by appointing prominent and very experienced party leaders, who have proven their worth in their respective fields, to the Election Committee.
