NEW DELHI, Oct 4: In follow-up to the campaign launched by BJP National President Amit Shah in Coonoor yesterday to protest against the ruthless killings of BJP and RSS workers in Kerala, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh and BJP Delhi State President Manoj Tiwari today led the “Janaraksha Yatra” in the national capital, in which thousands of BJP Karyakartas and supporters participated and marched up to the Communist Party of India (Marxist) headquarters here.
BJP National Vice President and Prabhari for Delhi, Sham Jaju, former union Minister Shahnawaz Hussain, Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta, BJP Delhi State General Secretary Rajesh Bhatia, State and Mandal office bearers, members of Mahila Morcha and Yuva Morcha also joined the protest march.
Addressing the Karyakartas, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the movement launched by Amit Shah is not simply meant for vindication of the killings of BJP and RSS workers, but, truly speaking, it is actually a movement to restore the values of non-violence and peaceful expression of dissent in a democracy. He said, the selective killings of BJP and RSS workers by the leftists and communists or their supporters, is not only a challenge for the BJP, but, in fact, a black stigma on the inherent values of Indian democracy.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, in no case, shall the BJP allow the communists to institutionalize the use of violence in politics and democracy. To that extent, he said, the movement initiated by Amit Shah is not the mere concern of the BJP “Sangathan Parivar” alone, but is, in fact, a concern of each and every citizen of India because it is aimed at restoring the values of non-violence and peaceful dissent which is inherent to the tradition of India, the culture of democracy and the ethos of Gandhian philosophy.
