SURAT (GUJARAT), Nov 30: Union Minister and BJP Election Sah-Prabhari (Co-Incharge), Dr Jitendra Singh held an informal meeting with the Industry leaders, mostly the representatives of Diamond industry, here and discussed wide range of issues related to them.
Pertinent to mention that this was one of the series of meetings which Dr Jitendra Singh has held in the recent weeks with different sections of business community in this industrial town. He had earlier held a similar informal meeting with the office – bearers of the “Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry ” and subsequently also met the representatives of Textile industry.
Expressing satisfaction over the meeting which lasted nearly one and a half hour, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the entire trade and business community of Surat has made up its mind to throw its weight behind Narendra Modi and to vote for BJP. The representatives of business community, he said, appreciated the sensitivity and open-mindedness with which the BJP Government is always ready to respond to their inputs and concerns.
The Gujarat businessman, Dr Jitendra Singh said, is highly progressive, forward-looking, discreet, widely exposed and with a vision to look ahead of his times. Therefore, he said, the traders, industrialists and businessmen of Gujarat are convinced that their future stakes cannot be better protected or promoted by any dispensation other than BJP guided by Narendra Modi.
When asked by a media person to respond to Rahul Gandhi’s refrain that BJP has not fulfilled the promises made to the people of Gujarat, Dr Jitendra Singh said, out of 70 years after independence, most of the time it was a Congress Government at the Centre as well as in the State and it is the mess created by successive Congress governments which has sought to be cleared by the BJP government in the last few years. Gujarat was the first to set an example of producing excessive electricity than required which resulted not only in 24X7 power supply but also gave a big boost to the industry, he added
Dr Jitendra Singh said, the representatives of different sections of Surat industry have assured him of their full support to the BJP.
