Dr Chandail performs 8 -hour long abdominal surgery at Medicity

JAMMU, Nov 9: A major eight -hour long abdominal surgery was performed by Dr Vikrant Singh Chandail for the first time in a private nursing home i.e J K Medicity here.
The surgery included removal of part of whole of six vital organs of the body including part of stomach, entire Duodenum, part of small intestines, part of Pancreas, Gallbladder and common bile duct.
After taking out these organs the new passage for food material, biliary secretions and Pancreases juice was made by these reconstructions.
Dr Chandial was assisted in the surgery by G I Surgeon, Dr Manoj Gupta, theatre assistants, Mr Arshad and Mr Lekhraj while Dr Madan Katoch was the chief Anesthetist who enabled surgery to be performed for such a long time.
