JAMMU, July 17: Dr Banarsi Lal, Incharge, Senior Scientist-cum-Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu (SKUAST-J), has been selected for the Best Scientist and Special Achievement Awards in the 6th Faculty Branding Awards (FBA)-2018 category.
Faculty Branding Awards are incubated by the Education Expo TV (EET CRS) with the major objective to recognise the outstanding contributions and achievements of academicians, scientists, researchers and faculties working in different colleges, universities, organisations and institutions at national and international level.
FBA panel selected the budding scientist for the prestigious Best Scientist and Special Achievement awards on the basis of research papers, popular articles, books, book chapters, success stories, case studies, invited talks, trainings imparted, consultancy services, SHGs/Farmers Clubs managed, research and extension methods technologies, eco-friendly agriculture etc. for the welfare of the farming community residing in the hilly areas.
Dr Banarsi has developed an innovative Exponential Communication Model which is unique in itself to assess the communication behaviour of the farmers.
