JAMMU, May 5: Dr Arun Sharma of Jammu brings laurels to the State to secure top position in All India AIIMS Mch Superspeciality in Minimal Access Surgey Examination, the result of which was declared by AIIMS recently.
Dr Arun who originally hails from Mela village (Hiranagar) in Kathua district is the first doctor from the State to crack the prestigious medical examinations in the branch of Minimal Access Surgery. More than 600 top surgeons from across the country had appeared in the written test which was held on April 7. There were a total of 3 seats in AIIMS for Mch Superspeciality.
Pertinently, Dr Arun was a distinction holder in class X and XII. He did his schooling from Model Academy and Jain School. After 12th, Dr Arun did his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Acharaya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS). Thereafter he did MS surgery from Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar.
