JAMMU, June 1: Ranvijay Singh, Trustee and SS Sodhi, Director DPS Jammu inaugurated Summer Camp involving Sports, Cultural and Recreational activities for the students of Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu in presence of Ruchi Chabra, Principal and Meenu Gupta, Headmistress, here today.
The school has arranged many activities like Swimming, Painting, Shooting, Skating, Football, Volleyball, Self Defence, Cricket, Badminton, Lawn Tennis, Speedball, Basketball, Art & Craft, Theatre, Western Dance, Classical Dance, music -vocal/ instrumental, eco club, gardening, English conversation, embroidery, stitching and cooking without fire etc for the students to enable them to take part in the activities of their choice.
Apart from the summer camp activities, literacy classes for under privileged children looked after by the school’s NCC and Prayas Club, have also been arranged.
Ranvijay and Sodhi took a round of all the classrooms and witnessed different activities areas, to boost the morale of the students and staff of DPS Jammu. They appreciated the school staff for organizing the same at a large scale.
Earlier, a special assembly was held in the school premises, wherein the Principal, DPS Jammu welcomed everyone to the Summer Camp 2018-19. She said that Summer Camp would help in enhancing and nurturing every child’s hidden talent and instill confidence in them. Headmistress of the school also spoke on the occasion.
