DPS, KC Sports Club register victories in Cricket; KCPS maintains supremacy in Swimming

JAMMU, Oct 24: KC Sports Club launched the inaugural edition of Inter School Multi-Sports Competition today.
On the occasion, Principal of KC Public School Amarendra Mishra was the chief guest, who inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. He also interacted with the participating players.
Ten teams from different schools will vie with each other for the coveted championship trophy in various sports such as cricket outdoor, cricket indoor, football, basketball, swimming and lawn tennis.
The school winning the highest number of points at the end of the tournament in all games will carry home the Running Sportathon Championship Trophy.
In Cricket, first indoor match was played between Delhi Public School and St Xavier School. Batting first, St Xavier School scored 21 runs in 10 over. Ritesh, Nitin and Mclod scored 4 runs each.
In reply, Delhi Public School chased the target in just 7 overs and won the match. Yuvraj and Rohan scored 6 runs each for their side.
From bowling side, Paras and Vishav took 1 wicket each.
In second indoor match, KC Sports Club registered win over Army Public School by 27 runs. Batting first, KC Sports Club made 62 runs in 10 overs. Taif was the top scorer with 26 runs, while Savirya Singh and Uttkarsh scored 11 and 6 runs respectively.
Harsh took the sole wicket for APS.
In reply, Army Public School bundled out at 35 runs in 9.3 overs. Anmol and Satvik scored 6 runs each, while Samragya scored 5 runs.
SWIMMING: In 50 meters Back Stroke (under-16 girls), Navya of KCPS, Kumkum of KCPS and Sehgan Kour of DPS bagged, first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 50 meters Back Stroke (under-14 girls), Diya of KCPS, Mehar of Heritage School and Komal Chadha of Heritage School clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In 50 meters Butter Fly Stroke (under-16 boys), Karan of KCPS, Arnav of KCPS and Akul of KC International bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 50 meters Free Style (under-14 girls), Diya of KCPS and Anika of KCPS clinched first and second positions respectively, while the third position was shared by Mehar and Komal of Heritage School.
In 50 meters Chest Stroke (under-16 Boys), Karan of KCPS, Sanjeet of KCPS and Aamil of Heritage bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 50 meters chest stroke (under-14 boys), Aaryan of KC International, Sushant of KCPS and Saawan of KCPS secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In 50 meters Free Style (under-16 boys), Karan Dhar of KCPS, Manu Kabra of Heritage School and Arnav Rai of KCPS bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 50 meters Free Style (under-14 boys), Divyan of DPS, Tanmay Gupta of KCPS and Vikas Koul of KCPS clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In 50 meters Free Style (under-16 girls), Yatiksha Tondon of KCPS, Akshita Mengi of KCPS and Sehjan of DPS clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In Individual Medley (under-16 boys), Karan Dhar of KCPS, Sanjeev Singh of KCPS and Manu Kabra of Heritage School bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in Individual Medley (under-14 boys), Satyam of KC International and Sushant of KCPS shared first position, while the second and third positions were grabbed by Avijay Mahajan of Heritage School and Vikas Koul of KCPS.
