DoP celebrates Digital India Week as ‘Education Day’

BARAMULLA, July 3: As part of its week long celebrations of ‘Digital India Week’, Department of Posts (DoP), Baramulla Division, celebrated the third day of the week as “Education Day”.
A large number of school going children of three different schools of Baramulla Town visited Head Post Office, Baramulla. The schools which participated are Baramulla Public School, Saint Joseph Higher Secondary School and Sri Guru Nanak Dev Higher Secondary School.
These school going children were apprised about the different services rendered by the Department of Posts to the public. Philately “The king of hobbies and hobby of Kings” was the main attraction to the children. In this regard a detailed presentation was given by Chander M Bhat, Superintendent, Post Offices, Baramulla Division to the children.
About 150 children showed their enthusiasm while visiting the different sections of Head Post Office. This initiative was also appreciated by the staff of the schools which accompanied the children.
