Doon International School organises Sahodaya Inter School Quiz Competition

JAMMU, Aug 10: Doon International School organised an Inter School Quiz Competition under the aegis of Sahodaya Schools Complex Jammu. Twenty two reputed CBSE schools of Jammu region participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Jagdish Singh Dhami, Principal Heritage School and President Sahodaya Schools Complex Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion. The guests of honour were the Principals from Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex, Seema Gupta, Principal Springdales School and Vivek Arora, Principal Bhargava Public School.
The teams had to go through a qualifying round first to bag the finalists’ slot.
The final 5 teams participated in a comprehensive quiz that tested their general as well as subject based knowledge.
There was an Audience Round to encourage the teams that could not qualify the preliminary round. Doon International School dominated and bagged the winners’ trophy followed by GD Goenka School as the first runners-up and APS Kaluchak as the second runners-up.
The chief guest, Mr Dhami, Principal Heritage School and president Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex while addressing the gathering appreciated the efforts of the host school and mentioned that such kind of events are a great platform for teaching and getting into the  correct competitive spirit.
He did mention the most renowned and internationally acclaimed Quiz Master of India, Sidharth Basu and shared his personal experience of quizzing of his college days.
