JAMMU, Jan 25: Days after a jawan aired his grievances related to food on social media, BSF chief K K Sharma today asked personnel of his force to convey their problems, if any, only through the means available in the force rather than using social media.
Sharma, who has decided to celebrate the Republic Day with his troops at the most sensitive Jammu Frontier, also said that the cadre review of all ranks in BSF, which will improve the promotional aspects of jawans, is in the final stages.
“BSF is a highly disciplined force and has established a time-tested system to address any kind of problem. Therefore as and when any problem is there (for any personnel), he must make use of various provisions available in BSF instead of going to social media,” he said.
The BSF Director General’s remarks came days after a jawan aired his grievances on social media about the quality of food being served to the personnel, embarrassing the force.
The BSF Director General also announced that Rs 184 crore have been sanctioned for constructing 15-room Guest Houses at all Battalion headquarters to accommodate the family members of jawans who intend to visit them.
