Don’t test patience of Nowshera, Sunderbani, Kalakote people: Ex-MLC

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU,  Mar 6: Blaming the State Government for the ongoing situation of bandh and agitation in Nowshera, Sunderbani  and Kalakote, PCC chief spokesperson . Ravinder Sharma (Ex-MLC) has demanded up-gradation of three sub-divisions to the level of ADCs to resolve the issue and hold serious and sustained dialogue with prominent leaders and representative of agitating people for the creation of district at a mutually acceptable and suitable place to all areas.
Addressing a large gathering  at Sunderbani today,  Sharma said that the spark of the current impasse was ignited by the Government itself by arbitrary and piece-meal orders of ADCs at various places including the one at Koteranka in district Rajouri, ignoring the genuine claim of the people of this area. He questioned if two ADCs can be sanctioned at a distance of just 30 Kms in Basohli and Billawar, why can’t Government sanction ADCs for three sub-divisions having inter-see distance of more than 40 Kms.
A serious and sustained dialogue with the representatives of agitating people can lead to amicable solution to the ongoing situation and for creation of district at a place which is mutually acceptable and suitable taking into account various parameters in this regards.
He referred to the earlier mechanism adopted by the previous governments for creations of administrative units like Billoria Commission, Ganai Commission and Cabinet Sub-Committee but the present government did not frame any such mechanism leading to a mess of the situation. It is unfortunate that people are on roads for weeks together and entire business and other activities are closed but government is unable to find solution.
Sharma said that Government should not test patience of people, as the delay has caused undesirable social conflict and created a wedge amongst the peace loving people of these areas. He appealed to the people especially youth to hold on their respective emotions and do not indulge in blame game upon each other in social media for the follies and failures of the Government, and maintain social harmony.
