In a statement here, the separatist leader while extending his heartfelt greetings of Eid-ul-Adha to the Muslims of world in general and Jammu and Kashmir in particular, appealed people to celebrate Eid with austerity, simplicity and according to the Islamic principles.
He said that the aim of a Muslim is to attain benevolence of Almighty Allah by this sacrifice so they will perform this obligation according to the true spirit of Islam. Asking people not to make and share the videos of the slaughtering of the sacrificial animals, Geelani said that our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had prohibited the slaughtering of one animal in front of another animal.
