Srinagar, Sept 24: A day after appealing people not to resort to any act on Eid which could hurt the sentiments of other communities, the separatist leader and hardline Hurriyat chairman Syed Ali Geelani today urged the people not to make and share videos on internet.
In a statement here, the separatist leader while extending his heartfelt greetings of Eid-ul-Adha to the Muslims of world in general and Jammu and Kashmir in particular, appealed people to celebrate Eid with austerity, simplicity and according to the Islamic principles.
He said that the aim of a Muslim is to attain benevolence of Almighty Allah by this sacrifice so they will perform this obligation according to the true spirit of Islam. Asking people not to make and share the videos of the slaughtering of the sacrificial animals, Geelani said that our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had prohibited the slaughtering of one animal in front of another animal.
