UDHAMPUR, Dec 17: Two maiden Dogri publications of Meri Mitra Mandali, “Lalten – 1 (an anthology of the Dogri poems of 28 poets) and Khandan-Mandan Bhag- 2 (a book on Dogri criticism by Surjit Hosh Badsali) were released by Dr Nutan Kumar Resutra, Principal of the Government PG College Udhampur, and galaxy of academicians, intellectuals from Jammu and Udhampur
The chief conservator of MMM, Sahitya Academy Awardee, veteran Dogri epic poet, writer, critic and scholar Prakash Premi formally presented a welcome address while
Surjit Hosh Badsali, founder president of MMM, presented a detailed report about formation of MMM and it’s vision, mission, objectives as also a host of activities being carried out by MMM in a mere time of two years.
It was followed by the releasing of the maiden published books of MMM by the chief guest Dr Nutan Kumar Resutra, Prof Veena Gupta, Prof Lalit Magotra, Prof Shashi Pathania and main poets of `The Anthology Lalten-Bhag-1, as well as Surjit Hosh Badsali, writer of Khandan Mandan -Bhag 2.
After the release, Sheetal Sharma, Dogri scholar from Jammu University read a meticulous paper on the Anthology Lalten-Bhag I. The paper focussed on variety and newness as well various colour of the amalgam of old and new writers of MMM.
Ashutosh Prashar read a well researched paper on the second book Khandan Mandan -Bhag 2. In the paper, he talked about various aspects of such a profound book with critical thoughts and pure critical perspectives used by Surjit Hosh Badsali. He was of the view that the book would open new vistas of thought process in Dogri writing and criticism.
Prof Lalit Magotra in his address to the gathering, said that he was really impressed by the discipline and working style of MMM that very organisations maintain as of now.
Nutan Resutra said that he was really amazed by the kind of talent that MMM in such a little time has brought to the forefront in the world of literature. As Principal of the PG College, he assured to provide platform to MMM for all such pious efforts.
