Dogra Sadar Sabha voices reservations over Article 35A

JAMMU, Aug 12: The Dogra Sadar Sabha has expressed its reservations over the State Government’s stand on Article 35A and alleged that neither Jammu nor Ladakh were taken into confidence by the Chief Minister.
A meeting of DSS Core Group was held here today under the chairmanship of the Sabha president and former  minister Th  Gulchain Singh Charak to discuss the sufferings of Jammu and Ladakh because of  back door imposition of Article 35A.
Ex MLC, Maj Gen Goverdhan Singh Jamwal observed that the CM  has out rightly ignored the sentiments of the Jammu and Ladakh regions before making her recommendations to the Prime Minister. She  consulted even the arch political rivals but not these much larger areas and population to whom also she is the Chief Minister and who have brought her to power in the Coalition Government, he added.
Col Dr Virendra K Sahi said that larger population of J&K,  West Pakistan and PoJK  refugees  are the worst hit by the discriminatory  Article 35A.
The DSS members  felt that the action on abrogation may be withheld for some time to see if the bloodshed, violence and stone pelting stop in the Valley as assured by the Chief Minister.
