Dogra Front, Shiv Sena protest against power, water crisis

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, July 28: The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (AG) under the leadership of Ashok Gupta took out a protest in Jammu city against the shortage of electricity by carrying electric fans in their hands.
Mr Gupta stated that there is a 8 hours cut in the urban areas, which has made the lives of people miserable or like hell.
Since the storm and heavy rains, there has been electricity crisis to such an extent that the Government Medical College and the SMGSH doesn’t have electricity due to which operations were called off and the hospitals have been brought to a total state of collapse.
He said that every year, people of Jammu are made to suffer during Summer on account of power cuts and non-supply of drinking water. In these days, when the temperature is soaring only electricity and drinking water can provide some relief from scorching heat but unfortunately both have gone out of the reach of a common citizen. It is the duty of elected Government to ensure that people are not made to suffer but in Jammu and Kashmir, the Government is least bothered for the same.
