Doda Police organizes Volleyball Tournament

DODA, Nov 3: On the directions of SSP Doda, Mohd Shabir, a Volleyball Tournament was organized by Doda Police at Govt High  School (Boys) Thathri, under Civic Action Programme 2017-18.
Eight teams from Thathri, Jangalwar,Pranoo Bhaderwah, Parinot, Tipri,Gandoh Bhallesa and Barshalla participated in the Tournament.
The first semifinal match was played between Young Star Bhallesa and Jangalwar which was won by Young Star Bhallesa by 2-0, while the second semifinal was played between Thathri and Seven Brother Bhallesa which was won by Seven Brother Bhallesa by 2-1.
The final match of the tournament was played between Young star Bhallesa and Seven brothers Bhallesa which was won by young star Bhallesa by 2-0.
A large number of peoples were present on the occasion to witnesses the event.
The event was inaugurated by Parvez Ahmed, Tehsildar Thathri. The main objective of organizing such events under CAP was to bridge the gap between Police and Public and to channelize the energy of youths towards sports and constructive activities.
Brijesh Sharma, SDPO Bhaderwah was chief guest and Mohd Rafi, BDO Thathri was the guest of honour on this occasion. The  teams were awarded with trophy alongwith cash prizes and sports kits.
Locals and prominent civil society members thanked Doda Police for organizing such tournaments in Thathri area and also requested to organize such tournaments in future also.
