SRINAGAR, Feb 11: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti today said she spoke to Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who assured her that arrangements will be made to airlift passengers stranded from many days in Jammu due to closure of Kashmir highway.
Spoke to @nsitharaman ji regarding passengers who have been stranded in Jammu for many days now. She has assured me that arrangements will be made to airlift them soon, Mehbooba, who is the former Chief Minister, wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Mehbooba also retweeted a tweet by the Defence Minister, which read, Army to help air-lift stranded students and others from Jammu to Srinagar and vice-versa.
