JAMMU, June 29: Chander Mohan Sharma Convenor of Tawi Andolan called upon the Govt. to immediately divert all big 20 Nallas which carry solid and liquid waste into the river Tawi and polluting water before completion of artificial lake otherwise the lake will become the pool of strinking water. He also stressed the need of vigorous drive for removal of illegal construction from the river basin. He was addressing a gathering of Tawi activists, here today.
Ramesh Arora MLC, who made a special participation in Tawi Arti assured the participates that he will take up the matter relating to Tawi with the Govt. He praised Tawi Andolan and extended his full support to it.
Meanwhile, other guests who were honoured include Parshotam Chander Sharma Addl. Adv. General and renowned graphic artist Ms. Ritu Chopra.
Later on Tawi Arti was performed and prasad distributed.
