Div Com reviews work on Srinagar to Leh Transmission Line

SRINAGAR, Sept 1: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today convened a meeting of officers on execution of 220 KV Srinagar-Leh Transmission Line and Kishan Ganga- Wagoora (Budgam) Transmission Line here.
During detailed review it was told that Srinagar to Leh via Kargil 220 KV Transmission Line is progressing and Rs. 101.49 crore has been spent on it so far.
For getting through Leh-Srinagar Transmission Line smoothly, Deputy Commissioner, Kargil was instructed to acquire land within week for erection of Sub Station. Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner, Leh was also instructed to erect electric towers within his district.
Main issue pertaining to acquisition of land for erection of towers in Ganderbal and Bandipora especially difficult zone of Zojila Pass were discussed in detail and necessary instructions were conveyed to concern Deputy Commissioners.
Among others Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Chief Manager, Power Grid Corporation of India, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, Additional General Manager, Power Grid, Manager, Power Grid and Revenue officers attended the meeting.
