SRINAGAR, Oct 20: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today chaired a meeting of officers to review the stock and supply position of Leh & Kargil districts.
During the meeting officers informed the Divisional Commissioner that adequate stock of ration, LPG and other items is available in Leh and Kargil districts.
Divisional Commissioner stressed for ensuring remaining supply of essential commodities including sugar, flour, kerosene oil and petroleum products by the end of this month in the twin districts so that people will not have to face any difficulty for want of basic amenities.
District Development Commissioners of Leh and Kargil apprised the divisional administration through video conference about the smooth supplies in their region.
Div Com directed the concerned authorities to ensure that the adequate supply of construction material including cement for carrying out developmental activities in the regions are sent by the end of this month. Forest Department will also dump timber & fire wood as per their target to these twin regions upto ending October.
He also directed all other concerned officers to store their remaining target of their respective commodities by the end of this month and also send weekly report to the Divisional Commissioner’s office.
