JAMMU, Oct 10: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Mandeep Bandari today reviewed the disbursement of relief among the Displaced Persons (DP)s under Prime Minister’s Development Plan (PMDP) at a joint meeting of senior Government functionaries and representatives of organisations of displaced persons.
The meeting held detailed discussion on the progress made in the settlement of relief cases and removing bottlenecks hampering the process.
The Div Com took a detailed review and sought feedback from the representatives of various organisations representing displaced persons of 1947, 1965 and 1971 with regard to the problems the eligible families are facing in getting the claims.
He asked the concerned functionaries to extend full cooperation to the DP families in completing the formalities for staking their claims. He called for smooth and timely implementation of scheme. The issues concerning the West Pakistan Refugees were also discussed in detail.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners, Jammu and Kathua, ACR Samba and representatives of various organizations of displaced persons.
