Div Com reviews progress of Semi Ring Road project

SRINAGAR, Mar 8: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today convened a meeting to review the progress regarding construction of Semi Ring Road around Srinagar city.
Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Chief Engineer R&B, Project Director Project Implementation Unit of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), Collector Land Acquisition PWD and other concerned were present in this meeting, while as Deputy Commissioners of Pulwama, Budgam, Baramulla, Bandipora and Ganderbal districts participated in the meeting through video conferencing.
The meeting was informed that the ring road project is 61 km long and starts from Gallandar Pampore to Manigam Ganderbal via Budgam, Srinagar, Baramulla and Bandipora. The meeting discussed issues like acquisition of land for the project, erection of pegs and pillars, demarcation of the aligned area and other related issues.
On the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner stressed the officers to work with added zeal and in synergy with concerned Deputy Commissioners so that bottlenecks, if any, are removed and work is expedited for smooth completion of this prestigious project.
He said the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti will lay the foundation stone of the Semi Ring Road project on March 25.
