SRINAGAR, May 21: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting to review the arrangements for Mela Kheer Bhawani at Tulmulla Ganderbal.
Threadbare discussions were held about lodging, STP work, construction of pre-fab sheds, repairing of dormitory and lavatory blocks, barricading and general face-lifting in and around the shrine.
The Div Com directed the DC Ganderbal to complete all construction works on war footing basis before the start of the Mela. He also instructed for making necessary arrangements for uninterrupted power and drinking water supplies, transport, security, fire tender, ration, besides ensuring road repairs and medical facilities at the Kheer Bhawani shrine site.
The Divisional Commissioner will visit the shrine next month to inspect the arrangements made at there.
DC Ganderbal, engineers of R&B, Deputy Director Planning and other concerned officers were present in this meeting.
