SAMBA, Jan 10: A 5-day Inter Block Football Tournament of District Samba concluded here today.
Nine Block teams of the district participated in the event and played the matches with spirit and enthusiasm.
The final match was played between Kartar Club Samba and Gurha Salathia Club Purmandal.
Both winner and the runner-up teams will lock horns against each other in Inter District Football matches at Jammu from January 22 to January 24, 2018. After this, both the teams will go for Bharat Darshan tour to Siliguri for one week where they will play matches with Siliguri local teams and will meet top footballers of the East.
The tournament and Bharat Darshan tour is being organized under Civic Action Scheme of Govt of India for which the responsibility was entrusted to Ftr HQ BSP Jammu and conducted under supervision of DIG JESF L-Nagar to encourage football game in India.
The tournament was aimed at hunting football talent across the country.
