RAJOURI, Dec 28: District Rajouri Indian Style Wrestling Championship concluded at Makool Dharpur Devsthan, Sunder Bani, here today.
The championship was organized by District Rajouri Indian Style Wrestling Association under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Indian Style Wrestling Association sponsored by J&K State Sports Council Jammu.
Thirty five participants of different weight categories participated in the day-long event.
Bansi Lal Tidyal, General Secretary JKISWA was the chief guest in the one day championship, while Mulkh Raj Sharma Chairman, Technical Committee JKISWA and VK Chib, President Bajrang Dal, District Rajouri were the guests of honour who distributed prizes, medals and certificates among the participating wrestlers.
The bouts were officiated by the team of technical officials namely Sanjeev Kumar Sharma (Director Competition) and Yash Paul, Secretary District ISWA
Event was organized under the overall supervision of Anwar Hussain, President District Rajouri ISWA and Ganesh Dass, Vice President District Rajouri Wrestling Association.
The Championship Trophy was won by Tehsil Khwas Wrestling team.
Tarsem Singh and JP Singh, veteran wrestlers were among others present on the occasion.
