RAMBAN, May 16: The District Level Inter-Zonal Tournament in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi and Volleyball under-14 and under-17 years boys and girls concluded at Government Model Higher Secondary School, here.
536 boys and girls drawn from all six zones of the district participated in the event which was held under the supervision of DYSSO Ramban, Sukhdev Raj Sharma and conducted by ZPEOs namely RN Koul, M Khalil, A Majid and M Akram.
Principal GMHSS Ramban, Parshotam Ji was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who along with DYSSO Ramban and other dignities distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
Omkar Singh Parihar conducted the proceedings of the programme.
Earlier, in under-17 boys Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Kabaddi finals, Ramban, Ukhral and Ukhral emerged winners respectively, while in under-17 girls Kho-Kho and Kabaddi finals, Raman and Gool were the winners.
In Under-14 boys Kho-Kho summit clash, Zone Khari defeated Ramban, while in under-14 boys Kabaddi finals, Banihal drubbed Ukhral and in under-14 boys Volleyball title clash, Banihal outplayed Ukhral to win the tile.
In Under-14 girls finals, Batote defeated Bnaihal in Kabaddi, while Gool got the better of Banihal in Kho-Kho summit clash.
The matches were officiated by a technical panel of experts drawn from the Department of Youth Services and Sports including Joginder Paul, Arun Sharma, Omkar Singh, A Majid, Muzzafar, Irshad, M Haroon, Anis, Bharat Singh, Kuldeep Khajuria, Rahul and Romesh.
