JAMMU, Aug 2: The Inter-School District Level Tournament in the sports disciplines of Fencing and Taekwondo, Sqay Martal Art, Thang-Ta, Wushu and Rugby for boys Under-19 years of District Jammu concluded at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium here today.
Rudhra Partap Singh of NIIT Talab Tillo, Saksham of DPS and Rabnawaz of Ranbir HSS clinched gold medals in Sabre, Epee and Foil events of Fencing Under-19 boys respectively.
The competitions were organized under the Chairmanship of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services & Sports, Jammu and under the overall supervision of Chanchal Kour, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu.
The main objective of these competitions was to select the teams for District Jammu in the various sports disciplines for Inter District Divisional Level competitions.
The matches were officiated by Shefali Gupta, Ujjwal Gupta, Anthony Matoo, Abdul Quadir and Tonny Matoo.
Meanwhile, Taekwondo Under-19 boys competitions were also held which were officiated by Raman Sharma, Mukta Gupta and Taqdir Singh.
Meanwhile, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Kathua, the Inter School District Level Tournaments in different sports disciplines for Under-19 boys and girls entered the second day. Today, the matches of Basketball at St. Xavier Convent School Hatli, Roll Ball and Roller Skating at DPS Rajbagh, Taekwondo and Wrestling at Sports Stadium Kathua were held under the overall supervision of DYSSO Kathua, Subash Chander Bhardwaj.
A total of 113 players drawn from 12 schools of District participated in the events.

Parveen Akhtar of Govt. Higher Secondary School Kathera defeated Anu Choudhary of GHSS Hiranagar in Rope Skipping in 30 Seconds.
At St. Xavier School, the host School got better of Infant Jesus HSS Hiranagar by 21 points. Vijay, Sachin, Ankit, Sumit and Manav of St. Xavier School were the star performers.
