JAMMU, Oct 8: District Jammu Boxing Championship, being organized by J&K Amateur Boxing Association commenced at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
The championship was inaugurated by General Secretary of the Association Rajan Sharma. Around 78 boxers are taking part in this championship in different categories.
In Sub-Junior category, Raghu Nandan defeated Piyush Dabgotra, Mann outclassed Yuvraj, Vasi Talib crushed Gurmeet Parihar, Kamal Sharma thrashed Ganesh and Shubam Chowdhary defeated Stanzin Sayankal.
In Junior category, Rahul Kumar outplayed Rohit Kumar, Abhishek Kumar defeated Mukesh Kumar, Sananshu Kapoor beat Dipandhu Kumar, Narinder Singh routed Akash and Sanjay Sharma defeated Ankit Jamwal.
In Senior category, Rahul Kumar Gandhi defeated Smrat Wazir, Naveen Sharma outplayed Padan Norphil, Sahil Magotra beat Manohar Lal, Vishal Sharma outplayed Ayushman Dhar, Vinod Kumar defeated Waseem Ahmed, Ricky Kumar thrashed Tarun Thapa and Akash Sharma trounced Rishav Verma.
The championship is being conducted under the guidance of Technical Committee members Anil Kumar, Sanjeev Jamwal, SS Gill and Vinod Kumar.
