JAMMU, Jan 2: Senior BJP leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta today strongly condemned the unfortunate disruption of the Assembly by the legislators of National Conference and Congress during the Governor’s address.
While briefing the media, he said that it is a matter of serious concern that such an incidence has happened while National Anthem was going on. He said that both Congress and National Conference owe an apology to the nation for this act. He further added that the country will never tolerate such acts, which bring disgrace to the nation.
While referring to the recent happenings in Kashmir, Vibodh said that people of Kashmir must ask the parties like National Conference about what they have done for the people of Kashmir.
“It is really very shameful that a party whose patron Dr Farooq Abdullah regularly dances in the parties in Jammu, pretends in Kashmir that it was in grief,” he said and added that people of Kashmir must ask Dr Farooq Abdullah about who was in power in the State when the PSA was enacted in J&K.
What type of benchmarks these legislators of National Conference and Congress are leaving for our youngsters to follow?” he asked and added that by insulting the National Anthem these legislators have proved that they have no respect for the country and its Constitution and this has highlighted the fact that their own political gains are above the national interests.
“Therefore very stern action must be initiated against all the legislators who have shown no respect to the National Anthem today during the joist sitting of the State Legislature,” Vibodh stressed.
