JAMMU, Aug 8: Displaced Inmates Welfare Committee Jagti led by Roshan Lal Raina chairman of the Committee called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner M L Raina and discussed various problems being faced by the displaced people with him.
As per a release, the deputation demanded immediate renovation of the quarters which is in deteriorating condition due to leakage of roofs, maintenance of parks, the present water supply scheme be handed over to PHE Department, basic facilities be provided at Jagti Hospital, construction of road to cremation ground, construction of six community halls two in each sector, commissioning of sewerage plant and enhancement of relief by taking up the issue with Union Government.
A K Sadhu and other member of the delegation expressed the hope that the problems will be mitigated soon.
The RRC also assured the delegation that the process for complete renovation of quarters will be started soon.
S L Pandita, A K Dhar, Chaman Lal, B L Hangloo, N K Bhat and Ravinder were other members of the delegation.
