Disabled threatens of hunger strike

JAMMU, Nov 25: J&K Handicapped Association (JKHA) and J&K Handicapped Welfare Association (JKHWA) today threatened the Government of going on hunger strike from November 29 here at Press Club if their genuine demands were not fulfilled.
The decision of sitting on hunger strike was taken during a joint meeting of both the association held here today under the chairmanship of Abdul Rashid Bhat, president, JKHA. The meeting was attended by office bearers and members of both the associations.
During the course of meeting, the participants expressed grave concern over the delaying tactics of Social Welfare Department in complying orders of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti as well as Governor NN Vohra despite lapse of more than 10 months.
The participants unanimously decided and announced that they would sit on hunger strike from November 29 till their genuine demands are fulfilled.
