Diploma engineers demand removal of stagnation

JAMMU, Jan 28: A meeting of All J&K Diploma Engineers Association Jammu was held under the chairmanship of Upinder Singh to discuss the issue confronting diploma engineers of the PDD in which a large number of diploma engineers participated.
While addressing the meeting Er Singh demanded that the backlog quota of 66 posts of assistant engineers under the career progression scheme meant for diploma engineers to remove prolonged stagnation & 52 number of posts of assistant engineers under 20 percent quota earmarked for diploma engineers be released at the earliest.
He reminded the authorities that against 80 posts of assistant executive engineers only 31 diploma engineers are holding the posts, similarly against the 20 posts of executive engineers only 9 posts of diploma engineers are working.
He appealed the authorities to maintain cadre strength at the level of AE, AEE & Xen.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting included all the office bearers of PDD unit of Diploma Engineers Association.
