JAMMU, Nov 14: Massive protest rally was led by Sunil Dimple, president Jammu West Assembly Movement at various places, here today.
The places included Rehari Chungi, New Plot, Amphalla and Janipur High Court Road, where traffic jams take place frequently.
The rally was held against the failure of the Government Departments including JMC, PWD, R&B ERA, JDA, MVD and Traffic Department to solve the rising traffic problem in Jammu city.
The rally took shape of a dharna also.
Addressing the demonstration Sunil Dimple said that the Jammu city roads have converted into hell as far as accidents are concerned and the Government is least bothered to solve the problem.
He threatened to start the ‘Jan-andolan’ for the construction of fly overs at Rehari Chungi, Jewel Chowk, Circular Roads and Parking places to solve the traffic problem.
Dimple alleged that the sitting MLAs, MPs of the Jammu never bothered to raise the voice against the traffic problem to construct flyovers, circular and ring roads.
Prominent among those who were part of the rally included Dr sham Saroop, Manjiet Anand, Ramesh Chander Kohli. Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Rajinder Sharma, Sat Kumar, Sachin Soi, Ajay Mehta, PC Kapoor, Rajinder Sharma, Joginder, Mada, Sat Pal Kohli, Shiv Kumar and Ajay Harbans Tondon.
