Dimple calls on CE PHE, lodges protest against water scarcity

JAMMU, Apr 19: Sunil Dimple president Jammu West Assembly Movement called on  Chief Engineer PHE Sushiel Aima and registered a strong protest  against the acute scarcity of drinking water in Jammu city. He alleged that the people of the Jammu city are facing acute shortage of drinking water in general and Jammu West Assembly segment in particular.
Sunil Dimple informed Chief Engineer that people face acute drinking water shortage for the last one week as water supply has been badly affected due to the power failure.
He demanded that water tankers be pressed into service in the Jammu West Assembly Constituency.
Dimple wanted to know why the Chenab River Water Supply Project has been put in cold storage. He demanded that work on Chenab water supply project be started immediately and drinking water be supplied free of cost to people of Jammu.
He said supply is badly affecting the Jammu city and particularly the localities of West Assembly Constituency putting people to many hardships in this scorching heat.
