Srinagar, Mar 13: Deputy Inspector General of Police, North Kashmir Range, Dr. Sunil Gupta today visited District Police Lines Handwara and held a darbar of officers and jawans, besides chaired an officers meet.
A Police spokesman said the DIG was briefed about the current situation of the district including crime, law and order and other related issues by SSP Handwara, Ghulam  Jeelani  Wani.
“Dr. Sunil Gupta gave a patient hearing to the reports /grievances put forth by Jawans and assured them of their speedy redressal. While addressing the officers and Jawans, he lauded the role played by Handwara police in maintaining peace in the district,” he said.
“The DIG also chaired an officers meet in which security scenario of the district was reviewed and measures to be taken were deliberated upon,” he added.
