JAMMU, June 19: Vijay Kumar, Deputy Inspector General of Police IRP Jammu, held  Darbar of the officers and officials of IRP-15th Battalion at Batallion Hqrs Gulshan Ground Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
During her welcome address, Anita Sharma, SSP (Commandant) readout the achievements of the Battalion.
At the beginning of the Darbar DIG Vijay Kumar appreciated the women officers and officials for performing various types of duties with dedication in Jammu province and told that this Battalion is only unique Mahila Battalion in the State of J&K which has been raised to cater the needs of women police to deal with various types of duties in the entire State of J&K like Law & Order, checking and frisking duties at vital installations and other multifarious duties. The officers and officials present in the Darbar were given opportunity to project their reports and suggestions so that the same could be redressed.
At the end of Darbar, they were advised to remain punctual and extra vigilant at their respective duty points to avoid any untoward incident. They were directed to be in good turnout during duty hours. They were asked to maintain proper discipline among the rank and file. With regard to welfare measures, the officials were assured that due care will be given in this aspect to meet the aspiration of serving officials in future also.
