DIG Doda inspects Dharamkund PS

Jammu, Nov 29: Nisar Ahmed, DIG Doda-Ramban Range during his day long visit of Dharamkund area, conducted inspection of Dharamkund police station in Ramban. The purpose of inspection was to asses the performance of police officers/ officials posted at the police station.
With a view to know about the problems and grievances of police personnel posted in the police station, he held a Darbar of police personnel. After listening to their individual as well as collective problems, the DIG assured them that their grievances will be redressed as early as possible on priority.
In an honest and sincere attempt to bring the public closer to police and involve the public men in day to day policing, the DIG also held a meeting in the premises of Police Station. The participants were exhorted to come up with the problems/difficulties confronted by the people of the area.
Certain important issues were raised by some of the participants which were noted.
Nisar Ahmed spoke at length to the participants and assured them that the points pertaining to Police Department will be addressed immediately. In regard to the issues/demands pertaining to other departments, he gave an assurance to the participants that the matter would be taken up with the departments concerned at the appropriate level and all out efforts will be made to get their problems/grievances resolved expeditiously.
The DIG appealed the participants to assist Police in maintaining peace & order in the area as peace was imperative for the development of the area.
