REASI, Feb 4: District Institute of Education and Trainings (DIET) Reasi held District Level Social Science Quiz competition, here.
Twenty two teams drawn from different High and Higher Secondary schools participated in the event, which was inaugurated by the Head of the Department Darshana Kumari.
In her inaugural speech Mrs Darshana said that DIET provides platform for the students to prepare them for the competition by taking part in such programmes.
The house was run by Senior Lecturers Dr Virender Singh and Mrs Rakhi.
The registration was done by Pooja Puri, while Raj Kumar acted as the time-keeper and score was recorded by Ruksar.
The team of Arjun Dev Singh and Archit Singh from Govt Higher Secondary School Salal bagged first prize, while the team of Sheetal Devi, Manisha and Manali Devi from Govt High School Kheral secured the second place and the third prize was won by the students of Govt Higher Secondary School Bharakh namely Palvi Devi, Saksham Sharma and Akashdeep Singh.
On the occasion, Madhu Chopra and Veena Devi, both HoDs threw light on the importance of such competitions.
