Dhabi-Kheri, Kouli-Kopar, Garh roads abandoned: Manohar

DINGA AMB (Kathua),  June 9: Former minister and senior congress leader  Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today alleged that work on Dhabi-Kheri, Kouli-Kopar and Dinga Amb-Garh road which was started during his tenure has been stalled by the new BJP-PDP regime.
Addressing a Block Congress  meeting at Dhabi in tehsil Dinga Amb today, Dr Manohar alleged that lackadaisical attitude of  the BJP-PDP Government towards the redressal of the problems had proved that the State coalition has turned Nelsons’ eye towards public issues. He said that Modi Government also stand exposed before people of the nation as well as the State.
Sharma strongly criticized BJP-PDP Govt alleging that since the formation of new Government discrimination with Jammu had increased.  He said whether it is regarding employment, funds distribution or sanctioning of projects, all the projects are put on halt deliberately. He said that as far as Billawar constituency is concerned, the development works of Dhabi- Kheri road, Circular road of Kouli- Kopar, Dinga Amb – Garh road and PHE Supply Scheme Kouli – Kopar had been deliberately put on halt.
He appealed all the Jammu people to unite and fight for common cause of the region like equal share in employment, funds, promotion of Dogri language in Higher Secondary and Degree Colleges’ level.
DCC Kathua president  and former MLC Subash Gupta lamented BJP over its negligent approach towards the poor and common men of the country while taking important decisions like demonization, GST and withdrawal of subsidy on levy sugar, ration, LPG and kerosene oil without keeping in view the condition of people living below poverty line.
Besides DCC chief a large number of  former Panches, Sarpanches and other activists participated and raised various issues pertaining to their areas.
