DGPC to provide insurance cover to Ragis, Granthis

RAJOURI, Aug 30: A meeting of  Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee District Rajouri was held under the chairmanship of S Bhopinder Singh, president DGPC at Nowshera today.
In the meeting various issues confronting the Sikh community were discussed. Several  decisions were unanimously taken and announced by Bhopinder Singh during the meeting.
It was unanimously decided that the members of Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee Rajouri will make a tour of all Gurdwaras of District Rajouri and verify from the Sangat of areas about the physical position of buildings of Gurdwaras and functioning of Gurdwara Parbhandak Committees of  concerned areas.
It was also resolved that the DGPC will go for the life insurance policies of `Granthis’ and `Ragis’  of  all the Gurdwaras of the district. The committee further decided to organize the programme of Amrit Sanchar at all  Tehsil headquarters of District  Rajouri.
The DGPC members will make a survey of physically handicapped persons in District  Rajouri and help them by providing limbs and other facilities and also make survey of students who want to study but due to poverty are not able to do so. The DGPC will  make all efforts to provide all help regarding their studies.
It was resolved that old age persons who have no source of income and need help, will be provided all possible help.
Prominent among those who participated in the meeting included  Surjit Singh, vice president,   Harpal Singh,  general secretary,  Amardeep Singh  joint secretary,  Tarlochan Singh -cashier,  Rattan Singh- member,  Baljeet Singh,  Lakhvir Singh,  Balbir Singh, Tejinder Singh and Baldev Singh.
